Welcome to my games industry portfolio

Within this website, I have recorded my work both professionally and academically in the games industry. It's a showcase of my life so far and shows the skills I have plus what I am capable of achieving.

If you wish to just see the list of projects I have worked on, hit the button below.

How did I get to where I am?

High school

After writing in my primary 7 year book that my goal was to be finishing university and getting a job in a games company, i started taking steps towards that goal from day 1 in High school. I started by looking at different clubs and directing my subject choices towards more computing and technical subjects which I ended up preforming best in.

College: Start of my focus

College for me started back in High School as my school did a program where you would attend for a day a week and that solidified my next steps of attending college for a HNC in Computer game development. I had the opportunity to attend University straight out of high school but at age 17 and leaving in 5th year, I felt college was the best next step to get me aclimated to higher education.

Abertay University: The foot in the door

University is really where I sharpened my skills and honed my craft. I was lucky enough to attend the prestigious Abertay University which is known well for its games courses. It was here that I got the amazing opportunity to meet great people and work on exciting projects. A lot of the work in my portfolio was done in University or through University programs and is featured within this website.

Extracurricular

During my journey through education, I always kept my ear to the ground for any opportunities that would come up to further my skills and advance my knowledge of game development. I attended a course called "Coder Dojo" when I was very young as an entry into coding games, I took part in a short business course in high school called "Orbit" to enable me to be more aware of the business side of the industry, I attended another business course while in University called "Rebel Business School" to increase my knowledge of business practices, and I also worked as Events Manager in Abertay's' biggest game developing societies Abertay Game Development Society (AGDS).

Why the games industry?

As mentioned above, working with games has been a passion of mine and my goal since i was a kid in nursery. I knew what I wanted to do and did my research and asked the questions I needed to ask in order to achieve my ambition. I love solving problems and seeing things come together from nothing. Problems and logic has always been fascinating to me and I realised with games, making them requires and includes a great deal of this which made it a clear choice to me.

Production work (My main focus)

Production is my main focus. If you wish to view my work in production roles, then here is a showcase of all the work I've done on the production side of development.

Projects

Here you'll find my collection of my biggest projects that I have worked on across my industry career. This list does not include smaller projects I had made for University modules.
